- MRJ (Macintosh Runtime for Java) must be installed. This can free of charge be obtained from the page http://www.apple.com/java. The Utility JBindery is needed in the following from this.
- The decompression of the file MM3-WebAssistant.zip can be for example carried out with the program ZipIt 1.4.
- Dragging the program /MM3-WebAssistantPrivate/MM3-WebAssistant.jar on the symbol JBindery from the unpacked archives
- The Classname in the open window of JBindery in the Command menu changing to
de.mm3.WebAssistant
. Optional parameters, such as a changed port (port=8081
) can be specified also here. - Pressing the button Save Settings. Entering the name of the program MM3-WebAssistant as parameter and save as application.
WebAssistant can be started now from the directory /MM3-WebAssistantPrivate/.
If the
WebAssistant starts with the error message ServerSocket could not be produced and no other process runs on this port, then the network configuration has to be changed.
- In the filing menu under configurations the current settings has to be duplicated and renamed for example to local.
- Select this configuration.
- Select connection AppleTalk (MacIP).
- Select configuration method MacIP manual.
- Ignore button zone select.
- Enter IP-Address e.q.. 192.168.08.15.
- Further fields (router, name server, domain name) are empty.
- Store configuration.
- Close control field.
This configuration has to be used in the surf mode offline. You take advantage of the present settings at the browsing mode online.
