WebAssistant is available free of charge as

WebAssistant Professional in an faster, extended and qualitative better Shareware Edition.

For this edition no registration is necessary with Tools, however desired.

Why?
At the installation no entries are written into system configuration files, particularly not to check of your license. Due to this advantageous installation individual registration data are needed. We also need your legal name for payment purpose. If desired, after this you can communicate via a pseudonym with us.
This option ("Always dail my default connection" at the Internet Explorer) shouldn't be adjusted in the Browser. The assistant should be operated only with manual dial (setting: "Never dial a connection").
You use Internet software inclusive a browser of the provider for dial-in. It is possible, that this doesn't support any additional proxy. In this case try it with a browser of another manufacturer or use another provider.

The HTML validator checks an HTML page for basic structural faults. If these exist, the page cannot receive marks dynamically
We use the provider Strato for our offer. WebAssistant can be fetched and updated from there under MM3Tools.com/WebAssistant. The address WebAssistant.de will also connect to this offer.
Another opportunity for download is under myWebAssistant.de with the provider Puretec.
The WebAssistant Private needs at least the JRE 1.1. At this version however the using interface AWT respectively SWING with restriction (e.g. faulty representation at tool tip) is supported.
Due to these restrictions we recommend Java 2 platform (higher as JRE 1.4.)
The WebAssistant Professional needs at least JRE 1.4
At first an Applet of Sun Microsystems test if java is installed on your computer and the newest java version is used (http://java.sun.com/getjava).
Note: The used Java Virtual Machine must be activated in the browser. Otherwise the information of the test is faulty.
If Microsoft Internet Explorer and activated ActiveX controls is used then Java was download and installed automatically. If you prefer an manual download, please follow the installation instruction of Sun Microsystems.
You also can use a Java implementation of another supplier.
If the WebAssistant don't start by clicking on JAR archive than the file type assignment can be faulty. For example a ZIP program already cover the ending *.jar. This connection must be deleted in the assigned program (if possible) and the file type assignment must be changed in the operating system.
Should you wish to archive an entire offer starting from an URL, use Option Mirroring. The links to be retrieved can be limited using Options/Frett.
WebAssistant Professional: Application of the option is possible at more WebSites due to the extended implementation.
Please check, if switch off all protocol functions. The following protocols are available:

The fact that the WebAssistant is compatible to different platforms offers a multitude of possible combinations of environments for application. Despite tests carried out with care, difficulties may occur in your particular environment. Please do not hesitate to inform us in this case.

You use a file system of operating system which doesn't support the distinction between upper and lower characters. Two different URLs which are different only in the upper and lower characters couldn't distinguish.
Burning cache archives on CDThe HTML pages and other resources are saved virtually with their URL in the cache archives. When transferring to another medium the folder and file names must remain unchanged.
Long path and file names and arbitrary characters isn't possible to use according to ISO 9660 or Joliet. You can however switch this restriction off in most CD burning programs. At the best you use however the file format UDF which is supported by many burning programs in the meantime. There aren't these restrictions at this format.
As installation is utmost transparent, the WebAssistant will not leave any remnants on your system. To solve problems, just re-install the
WebAssistant as follows:
When Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 is used and Internet option Display script errors has been activated, an error message will be displayed during communication between Java application and HTML sites. This does not affect functionality.

WebAssistant communicates with the internet instead of the Browsers now. You must correspondingly adapt the filter rules in the firewall. You reach this in an easy way in which you operate the firewall in the learn mode. Then start the
WebAssistant and surf in the internet. The firewall then should suggest the corresponding rules.
These rules are approximately:

Remote Port: any
For some firewalls the server socket 8080 and 8888 (only for edition professional) has in addition to be opened.
