PrecisionID MICR Calibration Tool
It is not normally necessary to use fonts other than the standard PrecisionID MICR font. However, some printers will print more wide or narrow than they are supposed to. This can cause read errors on some sensitive MICR readers. When this is the case, one of the following must be done to ensure proper printing:
Notice: When printing MICR, we suggest using a printer that is at least 600 DPI. If you are using a printer with less than 600 DPI, you may not notice a difference between some of these fonts.
Instructions for using the MICR Calibration Tool:

In the event that that bank reports your printer is printing too dark or too light, lighter and bolder fonts are also provided. You may also compare the output of the fonts below with a pre-printed bank check:
