As explained earlier, this dialog helps you to become efficient in:

To create a topic root directory or any sub-directory:

The method described below is the long one where you want to have a detailed control of the process, if AutoApply is toggled ON, you skip the steps identified by the X label. Before creating a sub-directory, verify that you have selected the proper space-handling scheme and that all the character-replacement policies you wanted are there, and none else.

To create a sub-directory:

  1. Drag a directory icon to the Base Directory label; its absolute path will be displayed on that label. You may also use the Choose.. button instead.
  2. Select a text segment from a text source (ex. your Web browser content) and copy it into the system clipboard (usually by doing a CTRL-C key combination)
  3. Paste the system clipboard into the Pasted-Text text field (the use of the Paste Text button is the most convenient method)
  4. X- Edit the text contained in the text field if it is necessary; usually, it is not
  5. X- Click the Set button; you should see the adjusted text in the Policy-Adjusted Text field
Note: You can re-edit as in step 4 then click the Set button again
  6. X- Click the Create Dir button
