Shortcut To Shutdown.
Instead of choosing Shut
Down from the Start menu,
choosing Shut Down and clicking OK. You can create a shortcut on your desktop
to shutdown or restart your computer. Right Click on any empty part of your desktop and choose New then Shortcut. In the command line type "C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE
user.exe,exitwindows" without the quotes to create a Shut Down
shortcut.
To create a shortcut to restart Windows type "rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindowsexec" without the quotes. Click Next and name your shortcut an appropriate name, then click Finish.
Note: Double Clicking on the Shut Down shortcut you created will shut down your computer immediately and will not view the "Shut Down Windows" dialog box.
