What is BoneUp?
BoneUp is a study aid program designed to help you learn and retain information on any subject.. BoneUp employs smart logic that tracks the questions you are having trouble with and asks them more frequently, helping to reinforce them.
Features:
Random placement of correct answer. The correct answer and distractors are always in a different order, even after an incorrect response.
Support for up to 12 different groups of questions.
Support Multiple choice (4 choices), True/False and Flash Card Modes.
Smart logic keeps track of low score questions and asks them more frequently.
Flexible interface, use the hard buttons or tap the screen to navigate, view and answer questions.
INSTALLATION:
BoneUp was written with PocketC by Jeremy Dewey of OrbWorks.
1. Install BoneUP.prc onto your PalmOS PDA using your favorite install utility.
2. Write your questions in Memo Pad or use the Palm Desktop.
3. Import your questions into BoneUp
4. Start Quizing.
THE MENU:

The menu can be activated by: Tapping the top section of the screen or using the Palm silk screen menu button.
Program: About, Options, Help, Register, Quit - (Closes the BoneUP Program)
Quiz: Start, Stop, Stats, Flash
Questions: Import, Export, View, Edit, Delete
WRITING QUESTIONS:
Write your question using the Palm Memo pad or Palm Desktop. The format must be as follows:
- The first line is the question group name (in this case "Q", you can use what ever you want as the group name, just as long as all the question s you want to import use the same name) followed by a sequence number (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.). As the questions are imported into BoneUp, it will start looking for Question #1, then #2, if there is a brake in the sequence, BoneUp will assume that, that is the end of the questions to import. Example Q1, Q2, Q4,.... BoneUp will only import Q1 and Q2 since Q3 is missing. The end of this line must be terminated by a carruage return to the next line.
- The next section is the question, the question can be as long as you want it, but the complete question with distractors is limited to the 64kb limit of the note pad. The Note Pad will automatically word wrap the question if it is longer than the width of the display, this is ok. The end of the question must be terminated by a carriage return to the next line.
The next section defines the type of question BoneUp will recognize.
- For multiple choice questions:
- The next section will represent the correct answer, it follows the same formatting rules as the question.
- The next 3 Sections represent the distractors or wrong answers, they also follow the same formatting rules as the question.
2) For True/False questions:
- On the next line Enter True if the question is to be True or False if the question is to be False.
- You do not need to enter the other distactor.
- BoneUp will also recognize a single character T or F as the answer.

Note: The blank lines in between each section are optional, BoneUp will ignore all empty lines as it imports the questions.

DEFINING QUESTION GROUPS:
When you first start BoneUp, the default question group is "Unfiled"
Tapping on "Unfiled" will drop down the available question groups, the last item is "Edit Groups"
Tapping again on "Edit Groups" will bring up the options to Add, Delete or Rename the groups. A maximum of 12 question groups are allowed.

BoneUp will then exit and open the Memo Pad for you to edit the question.

PROBLEMS:

- Use your memo pad to examine the question number that BoneUp stopped importing at, check for extra carriage returns.
- Make sure there is 1 correct answer and 3 distractors for multiple choice questions and at least TRUE or FALSE for T/F questions.
- If you can't find the problem with the question, try deleting the memo and retyping the question.
