What is your
real name?
Richard "Rick" Halmos
What is your
age?
31 smackers
Where are you
from?
Québec City, CANADA
How long have
you been tracking?
5 years
Do you play
any real instruments?
Nope.
What 3 genres
of music are your favorites?
NWOBHM (new wave of british heavy metal for dummies :),
Melodic Metal, Progressive Metal
Who
is your favorite tracker and why?
Cadaver, because he's one of the best trackers, and does great solos and
has great vocals. He's a tracker for the people, and the most complete
musician in the tracked metal scene.
If
there was aspect of tracking you wish you were better at, what would it
be?
Massive releasing :)... Seriously, i'd like to be less conservative with
the samples i choose, also i would like to be able to track for longer periods
of time before becoming bored or losing my inspiration.
Why
did you choose the song you Metalicized?
At first, i chose it because i thought it'd sound good in metal and would
be quite easy to track. Also, i thought some 'Lemmy' type vocals would kick
ass in it, but since i had a throat problem when i made it, i took the South
Park excerpts instead, so it turned out more to be a parody than a cover tune.
How
long did it take you to track it?
It took two days (minus feedings, sleep, hygiene and some leisure time :)
How
satisfied are you with your song?
Very. But i found some flaws like after i mailed it, like the lead guitar
sample that kinda sucks (although it sounds oldschoolish like i wanted the
song to be), plus more similitude between my verse's music and the music in
the original.
