TRACKER & SONG YOU CHOSE TO COVER & WHY:
Violator's "Coming Of The Juggernaut" from 1998.
I chose this track as it struck me already when I first time heard it,
back in 1998, as "such a lovely oldschoolish death metal song". Even that
it was basicly instrumental (occasional growls & grunts repeated here and
there), and relatively repetitive overall, it felt so gripping to me. I
started to imagine how it would sound if done with nowadays quality,
trying to achieve as heavy and downtuned sound etc ... and then I went and
worked it out. I am really satisfied with the result, the music came out
so dark and heavy. I am equally satisfied with Unbird's vocals.
YEARS TRACKING:
Since 1989
INSTRUMENTS PLAYED?:
Guitar, bass
FAVORITE GENRE OF MUSIC & WHY:
Death metal, it combines the elements of
metal I like the most (doublebassdrumming, downtuned guitars, heaviness,
growling, attitude). Though, there's so many great genres.
MOST DESPISED GENRE OF MUSIC & WHY:
Nu metal. It simply annoys a lot.
FAVORITE REAL BAND & WHY:
Celtic Frost. They know no limits.
MOST DESPISED BAND & WHY:

FAVORITE TRACKER & WHY:
Hybrido. He had some real ability for grinding ;)
FAVORITE INSTRUMENT & WHY:
Drums. A key feature in almost any form of music.
DO YOU RATE/REVIEW SONGS ON METALLURKY? IF NOT, WHY?:
Yes I do and I dont know why ;)
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT THE SCENE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

FRIZZLEFRIED'S THOUGHTS:
Violator's
"Comming of the Juggernaught is a tune that I managed to somehow miss in it's
original release. It was my honor to take a listen to this kickass
oldschool tune for the first time when Aeuk uploaded it with his remake.
Aeuk's remake takes the tracked sound of the original and gives it some
semblance of authenticity. The sound is a fuzzy deep distorted guitarsound
that simply kicks some ass (if you have your EQ settings correctly set).
Aeuk has also upgraded this tune with a bit of kickass vocal work featuring a
deep growl from Unbird.
