Entering name and date

On the first page, you put in the name of the chart as well as date and time of birth or of the event. Into the first field Name you fill in the name of chart. You can take the name of a person, the description of an event as well as any other description you like. You can put in the same name for two or more charts without risking any conflict.

Into the field Date you put in the date by filling in the year, the month and then the day.
The Date is limited to the period from 0001.01.01 to 2129.12.31, which should be sufficient in most cases.

For the statement of months the usual sequence is valid.

1 = January4 = April7 = July10 = October
2 = February5 = May8 = August11 = November
3 = March6 = June9 = September12 = December

You can also fill in the date by using the »Date-picker dialog« of Windows CE by tapping the button "C" which is located between the edit fields of date and time.
Choose the year by tapping directly on the correct year. By doing so two arrows will show up which you can use to navigate. Unfortunately, these navigation buttons are relatively small, so that you will have to practise a little before you can enter your data fairly quickly. Select the month using the two buttons which are located directly to the right and the left statement of the year.
The date will be transferred as soon as you finish the dialogue by tapping the button  | OK |.

Insert the time into the field entitled Time by filling in the hour before you enter in the minutes. By choosing the time you have to take the standard time at the place of birth or at the place of a particular event which you can read from a normal watch.
If you don’t know the precise time enter 12:00 as a guide line. Please consider that an inaccurate statement of time will have an effect on important aspects of your horoscope such the ascendant, etc. You can try to find out the correct statement of time by

  • Asking parents or relatives,
  • Checking birth certificates or photograph albums,...
  • Ask for information at the local registry office or at the hospital where the person was born.

Fill in gender into the field entitled Sex. You can choose male, female or neutral for an event or an object. This statement serves only informative purposes and has no influence on the actual calculation of the charts.

If you remove the keyboard you will come across the field Calendar, where you can select between Gregorian and Julian calendar´s.
Pivique Astrology uses the Gregorian calendar as its standard presentation, so you won’t need this option very often.
