Getting Started

Installing Dragonfly Journal:
Simply unzip the downloaded zip file to a location where you can easily find it, I would suggest creating a DragonflyJournal Folder in you Documents folder and unzipping it there. The reason is that in this current version your data is stored with the application and you'll want it where you can easily find the files for backups etc.

Running the Dragonfly:
Please Note: Dragonfly Journal requires Java 1.6 or greater! If the app doesn't run for you, check your version at a cmd prompt by typing java -version. To upgrade your java to 6, go to java.com

Using Dragonfly Journal:
When you first open the application you will be prompted to select a Journal and provide a password. If this it the first time there will be no Journals so first click on the New button. Enter a Journal Name and Password and click OK.

After that you in business! You can start creating Journal Entries.
