Dragonfly Journal
A personal journaling application. Provides the user with secure encrypted journal data combined with a simple user interface so you can can quickly focus on writing journal entries in whatever time you have!
Ok so your probably already asking, why a desktop app in these days of everything internet? Fine question! There are plenty of good reasons:
- Privacy - Journals are often filled with personal thoughts, feelings and information that you may not want to share with more then 1 or two people if any at all. Why would you put that information on a compinies server it's private!
- Security - Servers get hacked, traffic on the internet is monitored all the time from corporate proxies to packet sniffers, if its private why should this sort of data leave your possession.
- portability - You can put it on a thumb drive and take it with you everywhere and remember its encrypted!
- preservation - You own your data, you can back it up, copy it save it for future generations. If History is the study of the past through written documents then in our world of rapidly discarded documentation, history is about to become history. But I digress...
- Internet access - Well this one is pretty obvious huh? If you can't connect then your out of luck.
Only you can answer the question of why keep your info local but the above are a few reasons why I do.

Simply unzip the downloaded zip file to a location where you can easily find it, I would suggest creating a DragonflyJournal Folder in you Documents folder and unzipping it there.
