==================================================================== File: LiView.zip Author: Philippe Thomas (tphilippe@sdv.fr) Release: 1.1 (12/03/97) Compatibility: DR8.2 Location: contrib/gfx/viewers Description: Multi-image viewer Notes: Needs the datatype library ==================================================================== LiView is an image viewer of a special kind since it displays a palette containing little representation of bigger pictures, aligned in a grid. By this mean, you've got all images on screen and you can easily choose which one to display. It is possible to organize the mini-pics as you like on the palette, and to save it. You can have as many opened palettes as available memory. When a big image is displayed, LiView gives you a zoom mode, where the entire picture is zoomed to fit the current window size. It's fine when you want to see everything of a very big picture. What's new for version 1.1 ? -------------------------- ¥ drag'n'drop between two different palettes ; ¥ option to save the mini-pics with the palette ; ¥ option to open the pics in zoom mode ; ¥ option to display the name of the image file on the mini-pics ; ¥ in zoom mode, you can now zoom in/out by (shift-) clicking on the picture ; ¥ you can now change the size and the number of mini-pics on an existing palette ; ¥ you can now navigate through the mini-pics with the keyboard ; escape key closes image windows ; ¥ on a picture window, the zoom button places the window optimally on the screen, and keeps the ratio in zoom mode ; ¥ you can load images from the shell (ex. LiView *.gif) or by dropping them on LiView's icon ; ¥ minimal size of the palette = size of a mini-pic ; ¥ correction of a nasty bug which crashes sometimes when creating a new palette.
